Gianfranco Lassandro

Gianfranco graduated in Industrial Design from ISIA in Rome and Fine Art from the Bari School of Art in Italy. Gianfranco has worked with some of Europe’s best design firms as a product designer, graphic designer and interior designer.

Design Director of Delta Salotti until 2005 and for the previous 10 years worked as a collaborative designer for a range of design savvy companies including Mares, Divani & Cristalli, Studio Immagine, Legno Arredo and Philips.

In 2005 moved to Sydney to join KWA Design Group as Design Director following on from his notable success as one of Italy’s leading young designers.

From 2011 Gianfranco consults as a freelance designer collaborating with some of the most important scuba diving companies in the world such as Aqualung, Oceanic and Aeris.

Gianfranco  has been recognised for his outstanding ability to interpret form and function through ingenious design and manufacturing flair, receiving multiple industry awards. He has been a design finalist in major European design competitions including:1996 Per Filo Per Segno (Cordless phone), 1997 TVS (Crepe Maker), 1998 Handitec (Utensils for the disabled) and 1999 Philips.
